Privacy Policy

Who we are and what this covers

This policy covers the 2K Crew Finder app for iOS and Android and the website at 2kdiscord.com. The operator and data controller is 1001718595 ONTARIO INC., Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Contact us about privacy at support@quintesports.ca.

Information you provide

To create an account you give an email address, a password, your birthday, a nickname, your console (PlayStation, Xbox or PC) and a profile photo. Your profile can also include an optional cover photo, a gamertag, region and timezone, up to five builds (name, position, overall rating, archetype), a self-reported win percentage, a short bio, availability and a microphone preference. As you use the app we store the runs you post and join, replies, crew details and logos, applications, friend requests, direct and group messages with any photos, videos or GIFs you attach, your settings, the players you block, the reports you file and the support tickets you send.

Information collected automatically

Our application server does not keep a log of your requests. Our sign-in service does keep an authentication log: each sign-in, sign-out, password reset and similar account event is recorded with the time, the account it relates to (including the email address on it) and the network address the request came from, so that we can secure accounts and investigate abuse. It never contains your messages or anything you post. Our network provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes connection metadata (IP address, time, the request made) to protect the service, under its own policy. The app does not use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, does not send crash logs or diagnostics from your device, does not read your contacts, does not access your precise location (your region is a setting you choose), and does not access the microphone. When you attach a photo or video the app reads only the file you selected.

How we use it

We use this information to run the service: confirm your email address when you sign up and when you reset your password, sign you in, show profiles and run requirements, match hosts with players, manage crews and friends, deliver messages and in-app notifications, keep your settings, enforce blocks, review reports, answer support tickets, prevent abuse and process account deletion. Your email, birthday, password and block list are never shown to other players. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

Who can see what

Your nickname, profile and cover photos, console, region, builds, win percentage, bio and availability are visible to signed-in players. Run posts and the community chat are visible to signed-in players; direct messages and crew chats are visible to their participants; a run’s lobby chat is visible to that run’s members. A message you delete is removed for everyone, leaving only a “message removed” placeholder so replies still make sense. Our moderation team can see reported content when reviewing a report.

Where it is stored and who processes it

Your data is stored on servers we operate in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Traffic between the app and those servers is encrypted in transit and passes through Cloudflare, Inc., which provides our network security and sees the same request data as our servers. Resend, Inc. delivers the emails we send you (the confirmation code when you sign up and password reset codes) and sees your email address and the message. Apple and Google deliver the app but do not receive your account data from us. Opening a Discord link contacts Discord, and a GIF that a player added by its web address is loaded directly from the site that hosts it, which can see your IP address and the URL requested. Those companies handle data under their own policies. When you browse or search the GIF picker, the app sends your search text directly to GIPHY to return matching GIFs. GIF previews and selected GIFs also load directly from GIPHY, which receives your IP address and the requested search or media URL under its own privacy policy. We do not send your account details or chat messages to GIPHY.

How long we keep it

Your account and content stay until you delete them or delete your account. Messages you delete and accounts that are deleted are removed from the live database and photo storage immediately; backup copies of the database are kept for up to 14 days and then destroyed. Authentication and server logs never contain message content, and are kept only for as long as we need them to operate and secure the service. Reports about an account are kept, without the deleted account’s identity, as a moderation record. Where the law requires it, we may keep specific records longer, for example evidence of child exploitation that must be reported to the authorities.

Deleting your account

Open Settings → Delete account, enter your password and confirm. This permanently deletes your sign-in identity, email, birthday, profile and profile/cover photos, builds, settings, friendships, memberships, applications, blocks, notifications, support tickets and reports you filed, plus every run you hosted and every crew you led along with their chats. The text and media of messages you wrote are erased; a “message removed” placeholder remains in the conversation so other people’s replies keep their context. Other players’ own content is not affected. If you cannot open the app, email support@quintesports.ca from the address on your account and we will delete it for you within 14 days. Deletion is permanent.

Your choices and rights

Use Profile to view or change what you share, Settings to change who can message you, your online visibility, run alerts and blocked players, and the app to delete individual messages, posts or your whole account. You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to explain how it is used; we answer within 30 days and may need to verify that you own the account. If you are in Canada you may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; elsewhere, to your local data-protection authority.

Children

2K Crew Finder is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email support@quintesports.ca and we will delete it. Teen users get the same protections as everyone else: no advertising, no location tracking, private birthday and email, block and report controls, and a moderation team that reviews reports.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Sessions use signed tokens that expire and rotate. Uploads are checked for type and size on the server, and each player’s photos are stored under that player’s own storage prefix. No system is perfectly secure; keep your password private and report anything suspicious to support@quintesports.ca.

Changes and contact

When our data practices change we will update this policy, change the date above, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it. Questions: support@quintesports.ca. Operator: 1001718595 ONTARIO INC., Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

Optional biometric unlock

On supported Android and iPhone devices, you can choose to unlock a saved session with your device’s face or fingerprint authentication. Your device operating system performs the biometric check. 2K Crew Finder does not collect or store your fingerprints, facial data, or account password for this feature. The preference is stored only on this device for your account. You can turn it off in Settings and use your account password as a fallback. This local screen lock does not replace server authentication.
