Check Up runs two draft leagues — Triple Threat 3v3 and Ascension 5v5. This is the whole path through either one: entry, the combine, draft night, the table, the bracket, and the money.

Same draft-league DNA, two different formats
Fast-format Pro-Am. Franchises draft a roster, then grind Best-of-3 series while an in-season tournament runs alongside the table.
Ten franchises, one league table, no conferences. Full 5v5 Pro-Am with a single game deciding every regular-season series.
From Discord login to draft night to the bracket
Connect Discord, set your gamertag / PSN, pick your positions, and confirm your profile. You're auto-invited to the Check Up Discord server.
Register for the league you want while its window is open. Ascension 5v5 player entry is $20; Triple Threat entry is announced by the League Office each season.
Fees must be paid by the staff deadline — miss it and you can lose draft eligibility.
Optional, and the fastest way up a draft board. Combine games are exhibitions in front of franchise owners, and every participant gets a draft profile with stats, performance analysis, and scouting notes.
Owners pick from the eligible pool on a 2-minute clock — an expired timer triggers an auto-draft selection. Go undrafted and you enter the free-agency pool instead.
Play out your league's regular season, then chase the bracket: Best-of-7 rounds in Triple Threat, Best-of-3 rounds and a Best-of-5 final in Ascension.
Running a franchise, from approval to retention — Ascension rules
Every franchise needs one Franchise Owner approved by the League Office. Ascension franchise ownership is $50, with an optional $75 personalised branding package.
No franchise operates without an approved owner unless the League Office manages it temporarily.
Appoint a General Manager, a coach, or any other role the League Office approves. Delegating the work doesn't transfer the accountability — the owner answers for the franchise.
Two minutes a pick. If you intend to play on your own team you must declare it before the draft: the owner-player takes one of the roster spots and the franchise forfeits its 1st-round pick.
A coach who also plays costs the team its 1st-round pick on the same terms.
Schedule matches, keep player availability accurate, sign at most one free agent a calendar week, make at most one trade a week, and keep the franchise in good financial standing.
Finish strong and keep more of your roster. In Ascension the champion retains all five players, the runner-up three, everyone else two — with the option to keep one more by forfeiting a 1st-round pick. Triple Threat covers retention in its own rulebook without publishing counts.
Owner and coach applications aren’t always open — staff toggle them on when a season is recruiting. When they’re live you’ll see an Apply link in the menu.
How each league's calendar actually runs
Player registration opens after the previous season closes. A draft lottery sets the official draft order for eligible franchises.
Eligible franchises make their selections live on stream. Registration and private workouts close once the draft ends.
Two weeks, sixteen required Best-of-3 series in Pro-Am — eight a week, with a minimum of four completed by Wednesday 11:59 PM ET. Game differential feeds the tiebreakers.
An eight-game league phase in Week 1; the top eight franchises advance to a Week 2 bracket played in Stage. Quarters and semis are BO5, the final is BO7 — and the Cup champion earns an automatic playoff berth.
Top eight franchises, single elimination, every series Best-of-7, with the bracket reseeded after the quarterfinals. The winner is crowned Triple Threat Champion.
Players and owners pay their fees by the staff deadline and lock in the gamertag they'll compete under all season. Ascension also asks players to confirm they're 16 or older.
Optional exhibition games in front of franchise owners. Participants receive a scouting profile that follows them onto draft boards.
Owners build five-man rosters on a two-minute pick clock. Undrafted players move into the free-agency pool.
Three weeks, five required games a week, fifteen games total — every series Best-of-1, first to 21. A full round robin, then six rematches with home and away reversed.
The top eight in the table qualify — no play-in, no byes. The bracket opens 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 with every round Best-of-3, and the Finals go Best-of-5.
A league week runs Monday 12:00 AM ET to Sunday 11:59 PM ET. Triple Threat’s trade deadline and final roster deadline both land on Wednesday of Week 2 at 11:59 PM ET; Ascension locks every roster from the start of Week 3.

Entry fees are non-refundable once the season’s first regular-season match has been played, and anyone removed for cheating forfeits their entry outright. Triple Threat doesn’t publish its fee amounts in the rulebook — the League Office announces them each season.

Ascension: scheduling, settings, streaming, and forfeits
The higher-seeded team proposes the time; the opponent accepts or counters within 24 hours. With no agreement 48 hours before the window closes, the match defaults to Sunday at 8:00 PM EDT. Both teams check in on the website at least 15 minutes before tipoff.
Shot meter off, tempo shooting off, no post scoring or post moves. The layup meter is allowed — only the shot meter is banned. Game 1 possession is a coin flip and ball-first alternates from there.
At least one player per team streams every match with team audio included, on Twitch, YouTube Live, or Kick at a minimum of 720p60 / 3,500 kbps. VODs stay public for at least 14 days so disputes have evidence.
The winning team uploads screenshots within 30 minutes of the match ending, showing the final score, the winning team, and individual player statistics.
15-minute grace from the scheduled tipoff — a team not ready at the 16-minute mark forfeits that game, and may forfeit the series at admin discretion. Falling below the required number of players mid-series forfeits the affected games unless an admin approves an emergency fill-in.

File within 24 hours of the match ending — in #disputes on Discord or through the dispute form on your team page. Every filing needs a written description, screenshots, and the VOD timestamps; filings without VOD evidence may be dismissed. Admins rule within 48 hours, and those rulings are final.
What winning gets written down
The champion receives official recognition from Check Up, which may include prize-pool distribution, a place in the website Hall of Champions, and broadcast and social recognition. What's included may evolve between seasons at the League Office's discretion.
Once a championship is certified the League Office archives the season champion, runner-up, final bracket, Finals MVP where awarded, playoff statistical leaders, and franchise championship totals.
In Triple Threat the Check Up Cup champion earns an automatic playoff berth. If they already qualified on the table, the berth isn't transferred — the next franchise in the standings fills the field.
Only players officially rostered and eligible before the roster deadline may play in the postseason. No additions, no releases, no free agents, no waiver claims, no trades.
